Databank ARK Fund (ARK Fund) is a long-term mutual fund which seeks to achieve capital growth and income by integrating social, ethical and environmental considerations in the investment process. The recommended minimum holding period for the Fund is 4 years. ARK Fund is a flexible investment that affords investors the opportunity to align ethical considerations with their investments. As an investor in ARK Fund, you can also contribute part of your investment income to support social development or any charitable cause of your choice. Returns on investment in the Fund can be used to cater for your long-term financial needs such as home purchase, mortgage, financing of education and retirement planning, among others.
Fund Strategy
ARK Fund mobilizes funds from investors, who become shareholders. The assets of the Fund are invested in long-term and short-term instruments in 65%:35% ratio. The investment universe include shares listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange and other regulated African Stock Markets; high quality Fixed Income instruments such as Commercial Papers, Bankers Acceptances, Certificate of Deposits and Government debt obligations. The Fund will not invest in companies that engage in alcohol or tobacco production, are environmentally harmful, manufacture and/or sell arms and ammunition, engage in the exploitation of animals and gambling.
