Equity assurance Limited éa is the Ghanaian subsidiary of Equity Assurance Plc of Nigeria, a Company which was incorporated in 1991. The Equity assurance Limited éa, the Ghanaian subsidiary, was given approval by the National Insurance under the act 206 (Act 724) on 28th. February 2008 to operate as a Non-Life Insurer and in May of the same year opened its doors to underwrite all lines of General Insurance Business.
Since then, it has endeavoured to live up to the pedigree of its Nigerian parent Company which has been in existence for the past 20 years and now has an authorized Capital of US $30 million and current shareholders funds of over USD $78 million.
